You'll just have to wait and see.
I promise I won't let you down.

If you have any idea's or news that you feel should or
could be included in my News Letter, just

The Artists Corner.
Well it wasn't a very productive month when it came to painting up
new models.  But something has to give when you're doing so much
else.  At least I got to do this baby and get the under color paint-up
for the second wall hanging Gargoyle.  That one will be done as a
green creature with bright red wings.  This is a brand new model
from Geometric Design and will be up for sale too, as soon as I get to
it that is.

On the work table and coming soon is a wonderful Creature from the
Black Lagoon bust.  I've decided to revamp my Predator/Alien's dio,
putting on sides and a moonlit sky.  I'm gonna set it up with a light in
the moon shinning down, it's the first time I'll be using electric in a dio,
I'm shooting for a soft atmospheric effect on the creature, making it
as eerie a setting as can be.

Looking forward to all my new work and all your new things too.

Working up a visual for a drawing.
Coming up with new concepts for another chapter in a book, could be called "A
piece of cake" for me.  I never force myself to be boxed into a corner with only one
avenue of adventure on my plate.  With so many titles to tantalize my artistic senses,
to communicate in a way that I feel will be stimulating to both me and the audience.
Having them ready for my sub-conscious to work on.  Whether from the present book
or other books, as WIP with their titles begging me to engage in their creation too, is
what I delight in on the drawing board, of my psych.  Here's how I worked up this one.
One day, I grabbed the camera and said to myself, "Oh yeah.  I need a model to
get this illustration in motion."  I fully knew what I wanted to say, now I just had to
make it come to life.  Since this entire book is basically a self portrait, who better than
myself to pose for these pictures.  I always use my own hands to pose for my work,
but hardly ever my face.  There, I am shy, I have a personal fear of being in front of
camera.  But for art sake, I did use myself and came up with a compositing in
Photoshop already knowing how the illustration should look, in my head.
The composition went together, like a wave rushing into shore.  Time fades away
when I work, as did it when I began the drawing and completed it, in just about a total
in four hours.  Of course, I knew before I began it, that there was more than the
images of my face and my hands, I needed to express.  As always, I drew patiently
and let the rest come forth.  This illustration tells the rest, the rest is history.
Pogo my wonderful dog.
No doubt about it.  Our woof's are our life line to joy, when it may by-pass you in other ways.
This is it for me.  When I get home she greets me, with a wag of her tail, a grown of sincere
pleasure, and jumping up giving her approval of my arrival.  Dogs are great, they don't mind
what time of day it is, they're up to say, "Hey, it's morning, let's go, I'm ready.  Walk me,
scratch me, let's play, let's feed me, let's get me a drink."  It's simple to stay tuned into their
needs.  Just give 'em your full attention and stand ready by your side when
you're grumpy, or haven't showered yet, or done something else, not in
tune with your friend, visitor or loved one.  Come on, look at that face ...
If you can't love her, who can you love?  Oh yeah, your own dog.  Last
month, we had Janet Gamble whose website,
www.getadogslife.com
has a great time with cartoon characters she created to praise the woof's,
I so love.  She's asked for some pictures of my woof, so she could do an
article on my dog, Pogo, a beautiful white female pit bull.  I was so excited
by the idea that I decided to make a page on this site too.
And here it is.

Without a doubt, that's our Homer.  He's a deep pit of emotions and joy.  I'm so
grateful for this wonderful character, I get to work with each month, cause I get to show
a side of me, others might not known that existed.  This month being Valentines Day, I
get to show off his tender feelings inside and out.  For Homer, everything is growing up
hearts and flowers.  Heart shaped leaves and heart shaped flowers.  And that's Cupids
arrows poking through those hearts, all around him.  I just love doing these two News
Letters, one for us, and one for Store 1220, on Woodhaven Boulevard, here in New
York, for the Home Depot.
With all these ways of expression I have, I'm truly blessed to be doing a light hearted
cartoon in this mix.  Let's see ... Next month, Spring is right around the corner and
there's St. Patrick's Day.  Humm, I already had Homer in a kilt and blowin' his
bagpipes.  I've already set in up in a field of 4 leaf cover, so ... Don't worry I'll think of
something for Homer.
Hope to see you next month, when I'll show you what he's up to.

My apologies to everyone for being late this month with the News Letter.
But it really wasn't my fault, the Letter was finished on time and then I ran
into program issues.  The files got corrupted and now, finally fixed, I had to
create these pages all over again.  For the only fix from the Yahoo tech
guy, was to delete the program complete and reload it.  Meaning the only
files I had left were the last ones updated on my site.

My apologies again and to Robert our spot light person this month,
for being as patient as he was.
OK everyone.  Here he is, the man of the month.  An artist from
many directions.  Truly, a man after my own heart.  After
reading the wonderful write up he did on himself, I was so
impressed and delighted to have suggested him to myself for
the spot light.  What a guy.  What a talent.  What a good sense
of humor and what a joy to work with on this project.  From the
get go Robert was in my corner, helping with the content of his
text.  The pictures and links he supplied.  But you'll see that for
yourself, as soon as you click on his page on my site and take
a ride with this guy.

Again, thanks so much Rob for being patient with the ills of my
computer.  Technology ... It aint all it's cracked up to be.

Here's lookin' at Robert's page.
