Predator and base.
Fay E. Simon
sculpture from J D Bowers, produced by
Geometric Designs.  It's a model done in
1/4 scale and depicts a scene of the
creature in a stance of defiance towards
what ever it's going after this time.

I've taken the feel that the models brings to
the surface and added my own brand of
view.  Doing five compositions I put
together in Photoshop.  Here's the link to
the page created for your pleasure and
fear.  I had fun titling each composition, as
always I've added titles that came to me on
the fly, or is that "Scorpion" in this case.

This piece is called,
"That look."

Born and raised in Salt Lake City I nurtured and developed a love for writing from my mother.
Even though she had a passion for poetry, her inspiration still led me to writing short stories for
an English class.  Later I took first place in several local short story and poetry contests.  For a
time my interest turned to writing screenplays, only to return to my first love of writing the
novel.  In high school, I served as a member of the editor’s staff for the school’s creative
magazine “The Troubadour” and later wrote number of 3-minute skits for an acting class.
Today I live in the Los Angeles County with my cat, Smokie, where I continue to write and
coach new writers (online) in the art of writing, which includes character and plot development.

Here are two links to my websites.  The first is for my novels and the second is for screenplays.

Gee, I know Fay for such a long time now, and I can truly say, "She's a lady of distinction
and good taste."  She is a writer who has joined me in writing assignments with our group
called, "The Writing Addicts".  She wrote countless stories and critiqued each other work.
There we linked with each other through on-site conversations between us, and other
writers upwards of 8 at a time.  It always was a delight to work with her and read her
ingenious stories.  Why not read what Fay has been kind enough to write about herself,
and visit her on her site.  I'm more than certain that you'll be glad that you did.
Well here we are again.  This month finding our Creature in a bar, looking
for another shot of  ...
"Milk" ... What else?  Hearing the commotion, the
boss came out of the kitchen of the bar is shouted at the bar keep,
"Why
don't you give the Creech another shot!"
And the bar keep fired back at
this boss,
"But boss, he drank up all of our milk."  There are the usual
assorted creatures about, shouting their own brand of humor, in a front
and center, they too have their personal comments towards the scene.
We've even added some cow wallpaper too.  All in all it all in good fun,
and this being the only bar in town that serves "Milk", what's a good
creature have to compain about anyway.  Why not check it out and see.

Just to tease your brain.
You'll just have to wait and see.

London After Midnight.
Here is a wonderful bust and base
from
Geometric Design.  I've had this
unpainted piece on my "to do" list
since 2004 and only now have
decided to build and paint it up.  It's a
model sculpted by Gabriel Marquez
and done in 1/4 scale.
This classic movie was created in
1927 and is unfortunately lost and can
only be viewed through images found
in the archives of historians and such.
Fortunately for us, we have this
sculpture to enjoy and for we
modelers out there, draw closer still.

Tender moments with a Gorilla
Genuine feelings.
Sometimes I feel more in tune with animals,
than with the other humans around.
We humans live in a complex world, made
even more complicated by the power of
speech we've been blessed with.  To many
times our words miss the mark.
After viewing this wonderful video I went on
the web and sought out pictures of Gorilla's
in the wild.  As I looked at each image, I
saw tender moments, in genuine faces.
Faces not masked by words created by we
humans to avoid some a unwanted situation.
I was in awe and jubilation in the
tenderness of the private moments between
mother and child.  Between two friends and
of the Gorilla alone and at peace.

A dear friend sent me this link to a video.
I truly believe the point of a news letter, on a personal web site, can be one of
sharing things that relate and inspire me to relax and create.
Today, May 27th, I was in a fowl mood, since waking at 6:30 AM.
Yesterday, I was confronted by a less than desirable situation of rules and
regulations at work, and was written up for something I didn't even know as
company policy.  I didn't see eye to eye with what was being presented to me. It
disturbed me.  And my creative spirit I was looking to wrap myself up in for my
next two days off ... Well those emotions dissipated like a rock unto the sea.

Fortunately, This wonderful video came to save me and my current mindset.
Now let me share what changed my mood.
Here, you can catch a glimpse into the world of a primate.
More sensitive and thoughtful than man made rules can ever be.
Through touch, sound, site and smell and emotion.  A sensitive moment is shared.
So why not share it with you, here and now.

Now I can create again in the spirit it was intended to be.
