Space is a lonely place. Empty. Black with only the distant twinkle of a star, to keep her company. Her crew, gone...systematically murdered one by one, by one. Yes, it's a lonely place in space. Her heart beat loudly in her chest. Her breath, the only sound of a companion. But she is strong and willful to keep going despite of the odds, of mental desperation. She lives on, though she is alone. And so she thinks...hopes. But she is not, for along with her is the creature who lurks in the dark. A creature of terrible means and intent. A creature who seems to have only one goal, to make this being called a human a host for the babe. This my friends is the part of the story where we come in. In the deep dark blackness and solitude of space, there is no comfort and there is no winning. I promise to not labor much longer on this tail, but I have found one other being that must be told about. Another has arrived on the scene. Another, whose mandibles of death, are ever searching for a trophy to be put upon the shelf. It has landed on this place, only to find this derelict ship, were it will delight in the chase of two, the alien and our Ripley. For his steadfast mission is only one, to collect and dream of bounties it may have for tomorrows glory. To make his name worthy to be called the Predator. And the line from the first movie fits these pictures to a tee. Where is our good Ripley to escape to...because whoever wins this battle, one thing is for sure...she loses. "In space no one can hear you scream!" |

| The egg that stood before her. It was leverage to bargain with Mindful of her pawn, she used it as a dividing line of love between the creature and herself. And so it went, the hissing and spitting of fury from the creature. The creatures drive, to have our Ripley as a host for her babe. And finally letting her go because it knew it was better to save its pod, than to loss it in some fruitless battle. For now Ripley had one. But tomorrow would be hers. |
